Good to note that the private room with ensuit is actually seperate from the room. You need to walk down the hall to your bathroom.

Guys who run it are top class. The place is clean, and the internet is free. (they also have a TV with a gaming system attached, i used neither). The backyard is ideal for the BBQ's the have. Only would suggest putting a time limit (20 minutes?) on internet usage when others are waiting, girl used it for an hour while 2 of us waited.

There's a good reason the Quetzal is currently #1 ranked hostel in Cancun in the reviews. The staff will show you where to get the best street tacos, or talk politics with you into the night, they have solid lockers in the dorm, it isn't too expensive, there's a nice kitchen, the house is beautiful... We even got offered a couple of beers for free.

Great hostel with amazing character and atmosphere, both staff and other guests were so friendly! Unfortunately my friend got really badly bitten by bedbugs, aparently this is a problem they are aware of and trying to get rid of. Maybe the matresses needs to be changed completely?! All in all, a GREAT hostel!!!

Where to start:
1)Philipp & Lino are the BEST hostel staff in the BUSINESS(period!) Queztel owner these guys need a raise!!!!!
2)The room accomendations were Fantasic!!! Great Job to the lovely cleaning crew everyday!!!
3)Tours: I suggest a tour with QUEZTEL HOSTEL, you meet awesome people and have the best possible time in Cancun and the surrounding vicinities.
