not a flaw in this place. the owner skippy has turned her home into a haven for everyone. it's amazingly beautiful and skippy is great fun.
do not stay anywhere else!!!

hostel on outside of main town area requires walk up hill&down 80 stairs.I had 2 wait for 40 min b4 any staff arrived to check me in, the staff that checked me in had min english and i couldnt get proper info til many hours later. there r no lockers & nothing 2 stop guests going to other dorms.only 1 bathroom and u had 2 hold the shower head.there is no tv or entertainment.the area where flyers were was covered in random crap.overall 1 of the worst hostels i ever stayed,i went to Krumlov House

A truly unique hostel. a wee log cabin next to the river full oozing creativity and makes for a very inspiring atmosphere. extremely laid back and cosy and the staff will gladly throw stories, wisdom and advice about the area. one of my fave hostels of my 5 month trip.

Was the quiet season so we were the only two in the hostel but this is a brilliant little place with a terrace over the river. We did fell like it was more of a guest house though as the 'guest kitchen' was actually her own and we were cooking our dinner while she was giving an English Lesson there! Skippy was really great though and organised our taxi from the train station (which by the way was double what she said it would be) and our bus to Austria. This hostel is a must if you're visiting Cesky Krumlov! It has bags of character and is situated on the side of the river, literally hanging over! The hostess is lovely and makes you feel right at home. When you arrive she gives you a map and labels it with all the good places to eat (which are really nice!) The rooms have so much character and the sound of the river is so relaxing that its impossible not to fall in love with the place.

Fantastic place to stay. I would recomend it to anyone heading to Cesky Krumlov. Sure its not in the centre of town but come on its a five minute walk and a beautiful one at that. Quaint is a great word to describe it. You could also use charming, idyllic, character, the list goes on. If swanky hotels and mod cons are what you are after then you should probably stick to the capital cities and leave the beautiful old town and villages to those who are going to appreciate it.

Nice little place, clean & simple. Kitchen is good. The best bit is the outside decking area with tablechairs, with a perfect view over the water.
