The doors were really awesome because they closed very quitely as to not to disturb the room mates!
Also, staff was great since we arrived at 11 pm and they were very helpful with our later hour arrival.

Only really option you have in waitomo. Close walk to the glowworm cave. Cant check in until 2pm even though check out is at 10am. Have to pay deposit to use cutlery!!!!!!

nice looking place. staff did not inform about the extra charges for things like a glass to drink out of (there were none in the kitchen), there were no lights in the bathroomshowers, or the lounge with internet as well as the lights over the beds did not all work. The reception closed very early so you were not even able to obtain a glass to drink from. not impressed at all, happy that i was only there for one night

Good location Very Close to Glowworm Cave and iSite. Very Noisy bedroom doors as they tended to slam closed unless closed very softly. Not fun at 1am and again at 6am when the Kiwi Exp girls get up to start putting their make-up on.

It is a really nice hostel in a great location, but then again everything is in good location if it is in waitomo coz it is a very small town..lovely ppl!..i would definitly go back!! cheers guys!

This hostel was too much work. But where else are you gonna stay in tiny Waitomo? Atleast it's close to a pub.

Great place. Highly recommended. Quite and relaxing. The best you can get in Waitomo.

Great Place with good food located walking distance to the main glowworm cave. If you enjoy adventure, make sure you take the "Black Abys" tour offered through Black Water River Co.; best tour ever that provides a good adrenalin rush.
