Apart from a member of staff trying to fight a guest, not having any bedsheets and new guest feeling as outsiders due to the longevity of other guests stays, it was quite good!!!

Generally poor hostel. Dirty, noisy and room too warm (even with window open and ceiling fan on all day). Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Well the cleaniness was only cos we were in a room with 10 males :L Was good place tho. will defo be back!

Great Place to stay ... very easy to meet good people. If you like to have a good time and don't mind going to bed in the wee hours of the morning this place is a must.

A nice hostel with a nice sunny backyard, but the 10 bed room was 2 beds too many, as there were little space for big backpacks. Nice staff; I could hang around untill my plane left in the afternoon even though I already checked out.

Not a bad place if you're not looking to sleep! Kitchen was a bit grimy! Staff are cool and very helpful! Good location for the beach.

There was a trick that the staff said no small size room in Surfside building 1 and sent us to their building 2, which is Lamrock Logde. The price and rating are totally difference compared to 2 hostel, but no refund. It is not mentioned in both webpage of Surfside and Lamrock that they are the same hostel!! If I would like to live in Lamrock, i will book it, but not change from Surfside to Lamrock with such a lie!!!

Had lots of fun, one minute walk to the beach, great location. Staff was really nice, other backpackers there were really fun, had a blast!
