Very difficult to find, the hostel is situated on a walkway, not accessible by a taxi - get specific directions from hostel, and make sure the pedicab driver knows where he's going, and doesn't drop you off at a random spot. I stayed in one of the wooden huts - small, cold, bed as hard as a rock, locks didn't work. The shower was barely hot, but fairly clean. Staff were friendly.

I loved the area. It is in a historic area right on a canal and it seems that they are really getting the area around it ready to be the next artsy spot on the map. In a year or so it will THE place to find in Suzhou for sure. In your on-line directions you could add how far down pingjiang lane to go. For example, you could say "It's the 3rd left and it IS sign-posted" That would've been helpful.

Situated in the old district with about a 10-15 minute walk to the bustling area of Suzhou. The staff was friendly and the place was decorated with an old sleepy town laid back ambiance. Overall, my friends and I were really happy with our stay and would consider staying there again.

Very friendly people, a special house, comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Only the large computer screen and the tools on the floor of the room were a little bit strange ;-). Thanks for everything.
