This place was soooo cool!! The room was a little bit run down but the bed was clean and the sheets can be changed as often as you want. The shower and the fridge smelt a bit funny but the kitchen was large and easily workable. The hut that is run by Matt and Cheryl is awesome and they cook food every night which works out cheaper than cooking for yourself. You must stay here it rocks with a real nice atmosphere.

Arrived at Raro and they adamantly denied I had made any booking, staff were generally unhelpful, AND I was not the only person this happened to... As met at least 5 other seperate groups of travellers who had been let down.
Never got a refund for deposit either.
Avoid this hostel at all costs, if you want a guaranteed place to stay.
There were apparently several thefts there whilst I was in Cook Islands. So security is not great either.

When I arrived they told me that Hostelworld did the reservation for the day before (or that's what they told me!) they were fully booked and I had to sleep outside.

Great location, basically the cheapest place in the best location. Security not tight but not too concerned as very relaxed lifestyle and had no problems.

This is probably the best budget accommodation on Muri Beach, and Muri Beach is exactly the place you want to stay at while on Rarotonga. Make sure to get beachside rooms for good views.

I didnt find the staff very friendly, but they could have been busy? They did pick me up at 1am which was good.
